LAX SUX

I am back in the USA. It is 69° here in LA, but it is just more of an evil tease. When my Droid came back to life it warned of a big winter storm coming through Chicago.

The return flight was so easy. Board, watched "The Informant!" with a lovely dinner. Watched "The Orphan" with several glasses of "Savvy B" as they call it in Oz. Slept without interruption for 6 hours, wake, brekky with 30 Rock.

Customs and immigration at LAX is always a nightmare. There were two hott bears with me in line. No photo since cameras are verboten in immigration quarrantine.

Resting with tea an scroll #3 in the Red Carpet Club. A shameful dump compared to the Air New Zealand club, which boasts hot food and an open, self-serve bar.

Next stop, DFW. Icky.

Queued up. Quayed up.

We made it! After an eternal queue for a taxi, we arrived in downtown Sydney.

We have a bit longer to wait before our rooms are ready, so we dropped off our bags and headed out. First stop, caffeine. Starbucks will do nicely, though they didn't pull a proper "long black", it was really an Americano.  Feh.  Ken and Eric couldn't decide, so they got a coffee bevvie and something fruity and hydrating.

As short walk down to Circular Quay to check out the NYE preparations. Looks like they have it under control. Insert requisite Opera House photo here.

Starving, so we stopped off for some Emu pizza (I'll have the baked pumpkin version.)

Next stop some quick shopping (and a case of Red Bull) before an afternoon nap.

Boarded the plane for a long winter's nap.

Well fans, we are settling down into our luxurious full-flat business class seats. See you again in 13 hours!
